Discover the beautiful municipality of Moya in Gran Canaria

Today we go to the north of the island to visit a town known for its biscuits, as well as for possessing a rich natural heritage. This is Moya, a town located 25 km from the capital, which attracts hundreds of tourists and residents for its diversity.

What can you do there?

In Moya we can find the "Charco de San Lorenzo", natural pools of clear water with more than 70 meters long to enjoy an energizing bath. In addition, it has spa, showers, toilets and restaurants famous for their fish. It’s great for spending a family day with friends, enjoying the infinity of the sea and the good climate that gives us the island.

On the other hand, it is unthinkable to visit Moya and not try one (or several) of its sweetmeats. The most famous are biscuits and "suspiros", although you can also find trouts and anise buns. No doubt this is the best option for the sweet tooth.

For the more intrepid, it is possible to visit the Special Natural Reserve of the "Barranco de Azuaje", where you will discover one of the most spectacular ravines of the entire island of Gran Canaria.

Moreover, you can visit the church of "Nuestra Señora de la Candelaria", a mill of gofio or the caves of "la Montañeta".

If you would like to spend some special days surrounded by nature in this wonderful town, we recommend you some accommodation where you will experience an unforgettable stay

Casa Rural Natura Canaria: enjoy the splendid swimming pool with solarium in a lodging situated in a privileged setting. You will find the tranquility that you are yearning for.

Casa Rural Doramas: housing of traditional Canarian architecture where you can enjoy the views of wonderful royal routes and where you can practice hiking. Discover the natural side of Gran Canaria!
