Gran Canaria Natural & Active ( ), an iniciative of Gran Canaria Tourist Board, La Federación de Empresarios de Hostelería y Turismo de Las Palmas and entrepeneurs of the natural tourism, organizes each year the international hiking festival ‘Gran Canaria Walking Festival’. It’s the VIII edition and it is held from the 23rd to the 27th of October 2019. In its previous editions, the event broke all its records with participants from more than 30 countries.

‘Gran Canaria Walking Festival’ offers the opportunity to travel through the different wonders of the world without leaving the island thanks to its spectacular contrasts and breath-taking landscapes. Its natural protected areas declared a biosphere reserve, aboriginal mysterious past, rural accommodations full of history and tradition, gastronomy with thousands of flavours and the kindness of its people are some details that make 'Gran Canaria Walking Festival' an event that is 'more than hiking'.

This annual event counts on the oficial sponsorship of the Cabildo de Gran Canaria through Gran Canaria Tourist Board.
