La Fortaleza in 2 minutes

Today we show you a video of one of our members of Gran Canaria Natural & Active: Centro de Interpretación La Fortaleza.

It’s great infrastructure allows you watch the best traditional canary museography. We carry out outreach activities and recreate the everyday life of the pre-Hispanics habitants from La Fortaleza.

La Fortaleza is perhaps one of the sites of GranCanaria with the most diverse archaeological record. It is formed by three “roques” (stones), La Fortaleza Chica, Titana and La Fortaleza Grande, in which the architecture situated on the summit stands out, already known since the XIX century due to the quality of their execution. They were called “braseros” (heaters) because they thought they did ritual purposes. We hope that the excavations conducted by Tibicena, Arqueología y Patrimonio gives additional information.

For the time being we show you a video of just two minutes where you can perceive the complexity and beauty of this site. And you already know, if you like it,share it!

La Fortaleza. A great archaeology:
