Casa Cueva Villa Alta

This cave-house located in the north of Gran Canaria is the perfect place to relax and find peace. Cave-houses were the home of the ancient inhabitants of the islands, known as "Guanches". Despite the conquest of the islands by the Spanish and all that they brought with them to our islands, the custom of living in caves remained, especially in the high mountain areas of the island. This was possible thanks to the special features of these cave-houses, as they can keep a constant temperature between 17º and 22º degrees all year round, making them warm in winter and very cool in summer. The house has been restored, painted and adapted in October and November of 2014. It has 1 bedroom with 1 double bed and another bedroom with 2 single beds and a cot, a living room, a kitchen, a bathroom, satellite TV, washing machine, glass-ceramic hob, blender, sandwich maker, espresso machine, hair dryer, iron and ironing board, radiator, towels and sheets. Nearby you will find the Ethnographic Museum and the cave chapel dedicated to Our Lady of Fatima, a place that has been classified as a World Heritage Site. In addition, near Juncalillo you can visit Artenara and Tejeda, beautiful towns that offer a great variety of attractions to visitors.
